Phil Duong joins Baxter Law as an attorney with seven years of experience as a Deputy District Attorney in Deschutes County and Crook County. In addition to his work in Central Oregon, Phil has also worked in the Washington County District Attorney’s Office and clerked for Multnomah County Judge Michael McShane. He brings to the team extensive experience in litigation, DUIIs, and person and property crimes at the felonies and misdemeanors levels.
In addition to his legal experience, Phil has extensive life experience in multiple other disciplines. For example, Phil has almost ten years of experience in the start-up tech sector. While at Manzama, Phil’s multi-disciplinary approach elevated him to Product Director of the company’s data science development unit. In 2021, Phil, with two other co-inventors, was awarded a US patent for Insights, Manzama’s AI business news intelligence platform.
Phil is a 2006 graduate of Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, with a certificate in Criminal Law. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Lewis & Clark College. He’s an avid cyclist and enjoys backpacking in both the heat of the high desert and the rain of the Willamette Valley.
