Heath Hattaway joins as an attorney hailing from the Bayou State where he was the founding partner of H2 Legal, LLC. Heath brings to the team a breath of experience in a variety of areas of law including family, civil litigation, personal injury practice and new business formations.
Heath has gained extensive trial experience over the last several years here in Oregon, handling complex and high asset family law dissolutions and settlements. His pro bono time is spent assisting children as their attorney in high-conflict dissolutions and custody battles.
While in Louisiana, Heath gained extensive experience in the courtroom serving as the public defender and representing his family law clients at trial. He has appeared before Louisiana's Courts of Appeal, the State Supreme Court, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Heath attended law school at Mississippi College School of Law. While there, he interned with the Supreme Court of Mississippi, the Mississippi Attorney General's Office, and the Civil Division of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Mississippi. Before law school, Heath graduated from Louisiana State University and was elected as a Justice of the Peace in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana.
Heath is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington with inactive memberships in Louisiana and Alabama.
Outside of Law
Heath enjoys spending time exploring the Deschutes National Forest, sampling the local cuisine, and stand-up paddleboarding. He and his husband live in Bend with their dog, Nala.
