Travis Roberts avoided up to five years in prison after the victim of the hit-and-run asked the judge to "go easy" on him.
21 year-old Travis John Roberts was sentenced to three-years of probation for hitting a cyclist with his car. Additionally, Roberts is not allowed to hold an Oregon driver's license for five-years, must perform 100 hours of community service, and pay a $200 fine.
Roberts, faced up to five-years in prison; however the victim did not push for prison time, stating that "jail would hurt [Roberts] long-term, and I don't want that to happen."
